Job Purpose:
Carry out maintenance and tuning of large operating systems and that take the form of mainframe, desktop solutions or mid-range systems.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Recommend and prepare future plans related to capacity and architecture of the systems platform, and recommending how improvements could be made.
2. Follow, support and Install major IT facilities and systems
3. Maintaining and testing all needed backups and confirming tapes availability at any point of time 4. Check systems in order to optimize performance and to initiate recovery action after system failures
5. Implement regular housekeeping procedures, with all related documentation.
6. Manage the distribution and retention of data on various storage devices
7. Coordinate system updates and replacement of \'old\' versions
8. maintain data dictionaries
9. Provide day-to-day advice to users on data structures and terminology
10. Provide assistance in testing new equipment and systems, and recommend specifications for proposed solutions.
11. Prepare technical reports on the operation of systems
12. Prepare systems cost estimates and cost-benefit analyses
13. Attend help desk calls related to his accounts
14. Provide all the required hardware, software and operating system support for the Unix\\Linux servers platform.
15. Confirms the functionality and performance of all Unix\\Linux servers platform
16. Implement and maintain related documentation standard
Minimum Requirement:
·Bachelor\'s degree in Legal field or related field, a minimum of two years related experience.
· Computer skills must include database, spreadsheet, and MS-Office software.
· Multi-task, Problem solver and strong interpersonal skills.
· Goal oriented for improvement and development
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
