Job Purpose:

 

*      The high challenging job is responsible for managing all aspect of contractual and financial side of the project from the beginning until the completion of the project.

 

 

 

Dimension

Principal Accountabilities

 

*      To carry out timely and accurate Evaluation of Project Accomplishment for maximum Monthly Progress Billing submission of actual works in relation to the Cash Flow and the subsequent certification of the same by the Client / Main Contractor.

 

*      To measure, value, claim, substantiate, and negotiate Variations from Tender as againts any changes in specifications and other requirements.

 

*      To liaise with Client, Main Contractor, and Design Team on project spscifications, drawings, technical issues and variations on Joinery and Fit-out Works

 

*      To review, evaluate, and certify Subcontractor Progress Billings and Financial Claims.

 

*      To monitor project cash flow and carry out financial reviews to maximize project margin and add value to the construction process by proactive involvement in advising procurement strategy, cost management and reporting.

 

*      To regualrly communicate, advice, and assist the project staff and specialist subcontractor on contractual matters and to ensure commercial controls are in place, understood and followed at all times.

*      To ensure budget is adhered to by monitoring all commercial information in relation to the project including labour, material, and subcontractor cost forecasting.

 

*      To manage and produce accurate formal reports with relevant informations to the Operations / Commercial Manager in accordance with business time table.

 

*      To assist Operations / Commercial Manager with a range of duties as may be required from time to time.

 

*      To assist the Contracts Administrator in any Financial or Legal claim that may arise due to Extension of Time, Descoping, Disslution and/or Cancellation of Works.

 

*      To prepare, submit, negotiate and agree to close the project’s Final Account on the specified duration stipulated in the contract or as per date specified by the Main Contractor / Client.

 

*      To prepare, negotiate and close several Subcontractor Final Accounts.

 

 

 

Minimum Requirement

*      Technically qualified in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management

 

*      Preferably an Engineer with experience on Accounts and Finance

 

*      Minimum 5 years experience Quantity Surveying Experience within Joinery and Fit-out Contracting Organization preferably with hands on experience of working at shop floor of Joinery Factory and Fit-our subcontract works.

 

*      Good working knowledge on Cost Estimates and Forms of Contract currently used within the Construction Industry.

 

*      Good working knowledge of standard forms of measurements used within Joinery and Fit-out Industries

 

*      IT Literate with proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, and Autocad

 

*      Good Communication and Negoatiation Skills with ability to communicate and deal across all types of people, subcontractors, and levels of seniority from the workplace up to the Senior Management level and Main Contractor / Client level

 

*      Possess good practical organization skills, planning of resources and adhering to programme and schedules.

 

*      High degree of personal motivation, smart, professional and able to work well within a team based environment with a flexible, multi-tasking and adaptable approach to work.

 

*      Possess good commercial acumen

 

*      Ability to work on own initiative and with minumu or even without supervision

 

*      Ability to manage numerous projects / activities simultaneously – both for short and long term

 

*      Flexibility with regard to working accrosss all ares of the business, and hours of work to the requirement and challenges of the position
