Principal Accountabilities



Review and draft contract agreements. This includes full contractual review of agreements provided by the Contractors/Employers, draft adequate responses, negotiate and settlement. Drafting of new agreements, amendments to agreements are also considered part of this accountability.


Set-up and implement contractual and procedural steps in accordance with contract documents. This includes implementation of mandatory contractual practices such as, but not limited to, issuance of adequate notices, interim particulars and providing claim details set out under the terms of contract of each construction project.


Drafting and responding construction claims


Review, draft and response contractual communications


Identify and analyses and potential claim events and take necessary contractual measures to secure entitlements.


Overlook variations, payments, claims and subcontract settlements of accounts in all aspects. This includes review, response, providing advises to Project Quantity Surveyors on best practices, negotiate and interim/final settlements


Provide advisory support to cater planning requirements to establish time related claims


Oversee the duties and responsibilities of Quantities Surveyors and Planning Engineers and provide advisory support with respect of meeting desired performance


Set up and monitor correct contractual practices to minimize the contractual risks and potential disputes


Mentoring project commercial teams for continuous success



Minimum Requirements

Qualifications and Experience Required

  1. Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Law, Construction Management or equivalent.
  2. 10 years of experience in construction including reasonable exposure to MEP sector
  3. Being a member of one or more of recognized professional bodies such as RICS, CIArb, AIQS, CIOB or similar would be a definite advantage
  4. Should possess proven track record of administering contracts under challenging environments.
  5. Sound knowledge on all forms of construction contracts that are extensively applied in UAE, specially FIDIC based forms of contracts.
  6. Reasonable knowledge on applicable construction laws, practices and pertinent federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations
